Proctoscope with Light Source Adapter
A proctoscope is a rigid tube that is inserted into the rectum. The doctor looks through the tube to examine the anal and rectal tissue.
The rigid tube is with a handle. In the tube is a hollow inner core with a smooth bulge on the tip. After the proctoscope insert the rectum, the core need to be pulled out. Then the doctor can examine the patient carefully.
The proctoscope is with a light source adapter to connect to cold lighting systerms.

1. Held the proctoscope with right hand.
2. Use the thumb to against the core, and the tip of the core is lubricated.
3. Separate the gluteal groove with the left hand, press the anus slightly by the proctoscope for a while and then slowly push it in.
4. Pass through the anal toward the umbililicus and then turn to the sacral concave, push the proctoscope fully.
5. Pull out the core, pay attention to whether there is blood on it.
6. Adjust the light.
7. Pull out the proctoscope slowly from deep to shallow, and observe around while pulling out.
A proctoscope is a common medical procedure to examine the insides of the rectum and the anus. You may feel some cramping and fullness during this test, along with an urge to empty your bowels. But the procedure shouldn't be painful.
This blue adapter suits for cold light source systerm like LED or fiber optic light source. Cold light source is necessary for a proctoscopy.
